Travel Manitoba Tourism Conference

Your Invitation

On behalf of Travel Manitoba, I invite you to be a part of the 2011 Manitoba Tourism Conference.

A great story is one that speaks to you, from engaging characters that you identify with, compelling locations that inspire you or exciting adventures that you wish you could be a part of. When you think about it, the elements of a great story are also the elements of a great trip.

As members of the tourism industry, what we do everyday contributes to developing the Manitoba story. And it is this story - the who, what, when, where, why and how of our businesses - that is essential in building the visitor's experience.

The 2011 Manitoba Tourism Conference will focus on the building blocks of a great story. Topics will range from emerging markets (who), to global trends and market demands (what) to initiatives in media relations, social media, customer service and sustainable tourism (where and how). So join us April 11-12 at the Delta Winnipeg (when) and learn how the elements of storytelling can benefit your business in the long-term (why). The mobile workshops on day two will act as "stories in action", bringing what you've learned to life - just like a great story.

And of course, there will be plenty of fun and functional networking opportunities, including the 2011 Manitoba Tourism Awards on April 11, where we'll recognize achievements of individuals and businesses in our industry.

This will be my first Manitoba Tourism Conference as Travel Manitoba's President and CEO and I look forward to hearing your stories and sharing my story with you.
